Victory Outreach Houston Church History
Victory Outreach Houston was established in January 1994 when Pastor Ernie & Irma Lopez answered the call of God to pioneer a church in the great city of Houston. Before being launched out as senior pastors, Pastor Ernie was involved in their sending church in La Puente, California under the founders of Victory Outreach International, Pastor Sonny and Julie Arguinzoni. They served as Home Bible Fellowship Leaders and moved into the position of Home Bible Fellowship Sectional Leaders.
Since pioneering their church in Houston, Pastor Ernie and Irma have been able to minister to thousands of Houstonians throughout the years and continue to reach out to the broken people in our community and pursue the Call of God on their lives. They also serve as Regional Pastors of Victory Outreach South Texas Region.
Victory Outreach International History
In 1967, Sonny and Julie Arguinzoni were led by God to start a ministry dedicated to reaching the hurting people of the worlds’ inner cities. We began in a small building on Gless St. in the heart of East Los Angeles, and began reaching out to the surrounding areas. From those humble beginnings more than forty years ago, God has developed a worldwide ministry still dedicated to the original vision. Yet our vision has expanded from just reaching drug addicts and gang members to impacting people from all walks of life. Today Sonny and Julie continue to inspire the work locally and lead the ministry internationally.
Victory Outreach is the recognized leader in the field of sustainable transformational ministry. Since 1967, we have helped thousands of people take control of their lives. From our simple beginning, we have grown into an international organization, carrying the hope and message of Jesus Christ to the four corners of the earth.
Throughout the years, we have strived for excellence. We have reorganized our corporate structure to enhance administration and facilitate growth. We have provided state of the art training for our pastoral staff and leadership, and have raised the expectations of our staff to new levels of proficiency. We have taken steps to make sure the legacy of Victory Outreach continues for generations to come. Victory Outreach is an international, church-oriented Christian ministry called to the task of evangelizing and discipling the hurting people of the world, with the message of hope and plan of Jesus Christ.
This call involves a commitment to plant and develop churches and training centers, in strategic cities of the world.
